  2. Clerk to the Board

    The Clerk to the Board is appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The Clerk is responsible for creating minutes of Board meetings and archiving minutes and exhibits for permanent record of Board actions; researching and interpreting various reports and activities; and assuring that legally required notices and operational processes and procedures are followed for Board meetings.

  4. County Commissioners

    Duplin County is governed by a Board of County Commissioners. The Board consists of five Commissioners elected in even-numbered years by district to four-year terms. Following the November election, the Board takes office at its first meeting in December.
